Behind the scenes in my home studio, shaping stories through illustration and design.
Hello, dear visitor! With winter in the air, I thought I would share a little peek into my studio life and the daily routines that keep my creativity flowing.
After catching some fresh wintery air in the morning, my day begins with a warm cup of tea, cocoa or coffee, depending on the current day's vibrations. I always start my day by checking emails and replying to my clients and collaborators.
Most days, I work on several projects simultaneously, and at the moment, these include layout design for one beautiful and truly meaningful picture book, and some vibrant and joyful packaging illustration. I am also inspired and excited to be taking a character design course. Wolfy, an anthropomorphic animal character, ideal for adventure picture books, was created as part of it.

Once I finish all communication tasks, I put my mind in a creative mode. Here, I do sketching ideas and concepts, develop illustrations, sort and place elements into InDesign, adapt illustration colors in Photoshop, prepare material for social networks, and carefully design layouts and small details that give uniqueness. Also, during this time of the year, I also share my work with children’s book publishers and art directors, so crafting some thoughtful emails is a part of my daily routine.

Every project begins here - from notes to sketches to final artwork.
Planning is an extremely important part of any project, and I can't phrase it enough. I am kind of a planning freak. I have plans, planners and a planner for planners :). I regularly write down my goals and tasks so I can navigate my days when blurry days come, and they do. When a project is finished, I return to my notes and continue developing new ideas, personal projects, or portfolio pieces.
My studio's work is a combination of creativity, discipline, and flexibility. It is a balance between creative imagination and structure, between creative process and finished, professional work.
In anticipation of his majesty - the sun, I wish you stay well until the next time! 🌞

Mr. Wolfie is a peculiar one. I love how your day starts, and I couldn't agree more about planning.
Can't wait to see more of your wip projects and bts. 🥰
